ATSC 3.0 is the latest Television Broadcasting standard developed by the Advanced Television Standards Committee (ATSC) in the United States for deployment in North America and elsewhere.

The initial deployment of ATSC 3.0, ‘NEXTGEN TV’, commenced in 2020 with coverage roll-out planned across the whole of the USA into 2021 and beyond.

ATSC 3.0 promises to be the future of broadcast, offering consumers access to technology that will deliver a quality of viewing, never experienced before, from OTA broadcast.

Through collaboration with CE manufacturers, broadcasters, and operators, we strive to provide test solutions that ensure the ongoing conformance to ATSC 3.0 across the industry, and facilitate the Consumer Technology Association’s NEXTGEN TV Logo scheme, defining how devices must comply with the standard.

Resillion’s close co-operation with the key ATSC 3.0 bodies, including the CTA and NAB, means the company operates the NEXTGEN TV certification testing regime on their behalf.

Digital terrestrial television (DTTV or DTT) requires digital devices conform to the standards applicable in their respective countries and territories, so manufacturers must test against the country requirements where they wish to market products. Certification can mean a formal logo or certification regime, or alternatively self-testing to ensure a manufacturer owns the quality and compatibility.

As experts in DTT, Resillion has developed market leading tools and test services, taking a major role assisting countries with their digital switch over, and advising broadcasters and manufacturers on quality conformance programs.

Our testing procedures confirms solutions are brought to market with the highest quality and shortest lead times as possible, usually including SI/PSI testing, RF testing and (if applicable) HbbTV testing.
