Reflecting on an Incredible Week at Il Cinema Ritrovato

By Vincent Giambone, VP Of Strategic Ops NYC

I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible week we at Resillion had at Il Cinema Ritrovato in Bologna, Italy last week.

Beyond the beautiful sights and amazing food, seeing so many classic films come back to life was truly unforgettable. One of the most rewarding moments was watching a younger generation engage with these older films – hearing their reactions afterward was an absolute delight.

Our Resillion team had several proud moments throughout the festival. We were excited to see films we worked on – including William Friedkin’s Sorcerer, Michael Mann’s Thief, Abel Ferrara’s Ms. 45, and Donald Cammell & Nicolas Roeg’s Performance – shown around the city.

For these films, we provided a comprehensive restoration service tailored to each project’s needs – including colour grading in 2K to 4K, image and full support for Dolby Vision and P3 Cinema formats. It’s always a privilege to help preserve these cinematic treasures and present them in the best possible quality for new audiences to enjoy.

It was an inspiring and memorable week for everyone.
