Resillion hosts first Ki Certification event and is officially approved for Ki testing

Hasselt, Belgium – 2 June 2025 – Resillion hosted the first official Ki Cordless Kitchen certification event at its facility in Hasselt, Belgium. The event took place during the week of 5 May 2025 and was attended by members of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), including Philips and other participating companies.

During the event, product testing was conducted in alignment with the Ki specification. The testing focused on both conformance and interoperability checks for Ki Cordless Kitchen appliances and cooktops.

As a result of this certification event, the first three Ki products received certification. A significant milestone for Ki standard.

We are pleased to contribute to the rollout of the Ki standard by supporting a consistent and standards-based certification process.Bob Campbell, Global Head of Conformance and Interoperability at Resillion.

We are thrilled with achieving this significant milestone in the development of the Ki Cordless Kitchen and we extend our congratulations to the Resillion team on achieving their lab accreditation for Ki certification. Paul Struhsaker, Executive Director at Wireless Power Consortium.

Resillion conducted compliance testing using tools and equipment provided by Defion and in coordination with the quality team from the WPC.

As one of the founding members of the Wireless Power Consortium, taking the lead in technology development and standardization of wireless charging for mobile phones with the Qi standard, Philips is continuously developing new and advanced technologies that make life healthier, smarter and more convenient. Ki Cordless Kitchen is again a nice example of turning technology into easy to use products that bring more convenience in various aspects of everyday life, explains Jako Eleveld, Head of IP Licensing at Philips. Now the Ki standard is released to the markets, we hand over the next step of developing products that use the Ki Cordless Kitchen standard to product manufacturers to develop new and exciting products, while Philips will focus on the next innovative step in the roadmap of further expanding the possibilities of the Ki Cordless Kitchen to make smarter kitchen appliances and cookware. Congratulations to the Resillion team for achieving their Ki certification.

The Ki standard enables cordless power transfer to kitchen appliances such as blenders, kettles, and toasters through a powered surface/cooktop. Data communication between the appliance and power source ensures that this is done in a reliable and controlled way. Ki certification ensures that products meet the performance, safety, and interoperability requirements defined by the WPC.

Resillion is officially one of two entities approved to perform Ki compliance and interoperability testing, alongside Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA)  Korea.
