New three-year partnership will provide independent security testing, protecting the digital services and nationally critical data that organisations rely on.

Resillion has been appointed by Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s national mapping agency, to provide independent assurance and security testing under a new three-year contract.

Ordnance Survey provides trusted location data and digital services that support organisations across Great Britain, from emergency services and utilities to transport, telecommunications and national security. As its digital environment continues to evolve, maintaining the resilience and security of these services is an important part of its role.

Under the new partnership, Resillion will provide NCSC Assured CHECK penetration testing across Ordnance Survey’s on-premises and cloud environments. The work will help identify vulnerabilities, understand potential attack paths and provide practical insight to help OS manage security risks.

The testing will take a real-world view of how systems could be targeted, including assessing how vulnerabilities across different layers could be combined. Resillion will also provide detailed reporting and recommendations, with critical findings escalated rapidly where required.

The appointment supports Ordnance Survey’s wider focus on security and resilience. The organisation describes itself as a “trusted custodian of nationally critical data” and highlights the importance of protecting its information and digital services as the threat landscape continues to evolve.
