From 1st August 2025, all new and existing products placed on the EU market under the scope of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) must comply with new cyber security requirements. Ensure your products are compliant today.
Widespread use of products using technologies such as Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth, as well as those connected to the internet, increases the risk of a cyber-attack. Either at home or in public locations, the risk to consumers and businesses of a cyber-attack or identity/financial fraud has grown significantly over recent years. To help mitigate these risks, the European Commission has extended the Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU) to ensure that all wireless devices sold in the EU from the 1st of August 2025 are tested and assessed as safe and secure in use.
