Job Description
Senior Test Analyst / Test Lead – Hybrid
Uxbridge Area
Salary – to £55,000 plus excellent holiday benefits and final salary pension
Objectives of this Role
- Write Test strategy, test plans, manage stakeholders and test resources both internal and third party
- Manage test execution and provide support during the different test phases
- Responsible for defining the overall test approach for end-to-end application solutions and manage the execution of the testing (System Integration, User Acceptance, Performance, Regression, Penetration, API call, and Operational and Functional Acceptance)
- Take responsibility for the Programme Testing Workstream working alongside a Technical Project Manager to schedule and execute all testing activities
- Review, enhance and deliver a comprehensive test strategy and approach
- Formulate and deliver associated test plans as appropriate to cover Business and Technology testing of on premises and SaaS applications
- Work with technical teams to manage the test environments and ensure they are representative of production
- Define and execute test scenarios and scripts to ensure new SaaS systems pass thorough System Integration, End-to-End, UAT and Regression testing (including automation) to minimise implementation risks, assure deployment and enable customer satisfaction
- Work alongside the Programme team, BA’s, SME’s, external 3rd Party suppliers, other application service providers, end users, technical IT staff and system developers to ensure the testing discipline is understood and considered in all relevant plans
- Provide advice on testing to colleagues in the Programme Team and assist where needed including ensuring 3rd party suppliers are providing an adequate level of testing and support.
- Implement and evangelise the use of automated tooling where appropriate, work with team members to implement robust, repeatable tests.
Daily Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables
- Assist operations and local quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels, environmental and health and safety goals/KPIs
- Develop and maintain a defect log for each work package. Inform suppliers (internal or external) and support, monitor and escalate the resolution as appropriate. Analyse and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
- Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyse problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development
- Provide training and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
